Here we are

Klosterhagen Hotell is ideally located at Klosteret in central Bergen. The area of Nordnes is within walking distance to all the city’s sights, cultural institutions, nightlife and shopping. In addition, it is within walking distance to Hurtigruten terminal, Light rail and Airport Bus.

Parking

Until October 2020 it is possible for visitors to park outside the hotel, for a fee of 100NOK per 24 hours. Parking permission must be purchased at the vending machine located at Nøstetorget (by the bike rack). All you need to do is to enter your license plate number and pay. No written permissions are issued. Parking is free after 17:00 on Saturdays, and until 08:00 on Monday morning. Motorbikes may park free of charge outside the hotel.

If you wish to use indoor parking, these parking garages can be used:

KlosterGarasjen – Vestre Murallmenningen 14, 5011 Bergen
A 24-hour parking garage with 940 parking spaces. About 200NOK per day. The Sesame Sesame app can be used.

CityPark P-hus (Aimopark) – Markeveien 7, 5012 Bergen
A 24-hour parking garage with 511 parking spaces. About 230NOK per day. The Easy park or Aimopark Access app can be used.

Both parking garages are within walking distance of Klosterhagen Hotel.

Directions

From Bergen Airport, Flesland

By taxi:

Travel time: Approx. 20 min.
Most taxis take between 400-500NOK. Most taxi companies have fixed rates from the airport to the Bergen city center.

 

With the airport bus:

Travel time: Approx. 30 min
Get off at Festplassen in Bergen City Centre. See flybussen.no for timetables. The airport bus leaves as long as there are arriving flights (There might be disruptancies due to the COVID-19 situation. Please check their web site for updated information).

 

With Light Rail:

Travel time: Approx. 45 min
Follow the sign towards the light rail and take it all the way to the last stop, Byparken. Tickets are purchased at the vending machine on the platform or via the Skyss ticket app. Further instructions against the hotel are provided below:

Festplassen

Approx. 850 meters – 12 minutes walk
Festplassen is located adjacent to Byparken, the final stop of the light railWalk towards Torgallmenningen. Follow Markeveien up past McDonald’s and Egon Restaurant. After about 10 minutes you will find the hotel on the left hand side of a small square.

Hurtigruten Terminal

Walking: Approx. 500 meters – 8 minutes
Turn right at the exit from the terminal. Follow Nøstegaten. Turn left after about 200 meters. After about 200 meters, turn right and follow Vestre Holbergsalmenningen. Turn right at the top of the hill. The hotel is on your right side.
There will always be taxis available at the terminal upon the arrival of the ships.

Train and bus station

Walking: Approx. 1.2 km – 15 minutes
Follow the light rail line to the last stop. Cross Torgallmenningen and walk up Markeveien, past McDonalds and Egon Restaurant. After about ten minutes you will find the hotel on the left hand side of a small square in a light blue coloured building. 

City bikes in Bergen
Rent a city bike up to 45 minutes if you want to move quickly from A to B or just discover Bergen on two wheels. The nearest bike rack is located on the opposite side of the street of the hotel. Download the Bergen City Bike app for booking, payment and more information, or visit:
Taxi offers in Bergen
There are several taxi companies in Bergen, but Klosterhagen Hotell mainly cooperates with Bergen Taxi and is therefore the preferred taxi company. All taxis prefer payment by credit card. Read more:
Bus services in Bergen

The bus and light rail service in Bergen is operated by Skyss. Tickets can be purchased via the Skyss Billett app, at the ticket machines located at the main bus stops in the city center or in the kiosks called Narvesen. There is the possibility to purchase tickets of 24 hours or 7 days, in addition to individual travels. The ticket can be used on both bus and light rail, with unlimited trips for 1.5hour. Train services in Bergen
